Judy and Little Bear: a Camp Sherman Adventure

Everything about this book is homespun—pen and ink drawings, patiently captured photographs, and a distilled version of a life lived along the Metolius River.

This story, while fictional, is based on the real Judy’s lifetime of summers spent at her historic Camp Sherman cabin.

Grieving a deep loss, Judy finds humor and healing through a chance encounter with a lost bear cub and a huckleberry pie.

The photos capture the magic of Camp Sherman while the illustrations give a whimsical glimpse of the critters that call the wild Metolius River Watershed their home.

Mama Bear and cubs fish the real Metolius River.

“My niece who is three and a half LOVES it! We read it twice back-to-back and again at bedtime.”

What one happy aunt had to say about our book!
